The repair industry has totally changed from the days of having panels beaten out. With complicated safety systems, lighting systems and active braking components which many vehicles are now fitted with as standard, if your vehicle is not repaired correctly to the manufacturer’s strict repair methods you are risking effectiveness of your vehicle safety system and your own safety.

For instance some body panels can or cannot be repaired. Without following the vehicle manufacturer’s specific repair method a repairer will not have the knowledge or expertise to repair damaged components on your vehicle, pedestrian safety, passenger safety systems and active braking system are but a few of the items that alter effectiveness and can compromise how your vehicle stands up in the event of an accident in the future.  In the event of an accident it is your choice, not your insurer’s, as to where your car is repaired.
